DEADLINES ARE DEADLY...

Guidelines in writing a technical essay:

1. Discuss and critique the technical aspects of the movie you have watched. For example:

  • The editing techniques used - what are they, how are these significant in scene transition and flow, etc.
  • The predominant lighting used in the film and how it affects the mood of each scene.
  • The production design and how it describes the theme.
  • The camera work or cinematography - what camera angles, shots and movements were predominantly used in the movie that made it effective.
2. Talk about the significance of the work of the people behind the scenes and how they were able to help the actors in portraying their roles effectively. Identify flaws also if you see any.

3. Talk about other technical aspects that you think are significant in making the film aesthetically pleasing to the audience and suggest some ideas in the flaws that you have identified.
